Hi Sal,
I’ve had repeated bad luck with Trade-In broker removal crews (showing up hours late, no truck, lack of tools, etc..) but Wed & Thur of this week I had THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER for a trade-in broker removal crew!!!. The company was NationWide Imaging. The removal crew were; Steve Brendal & OJ Figueroa. They were FANTASTIC!! They were as good as other crews were horrible. The removal (2016-1714) was an air-cooled GE CT, an easy task but one that I’ve had massacred on other occasions.
What did they do to be so good?
Although driving down from NJ to Florida I was kept informed of their eta.
Actually had a GPS with them (many don’t!!!!) so I didn’t need to be their map/direction person.
Actually had a company truck that was clean and fully stocked with the tools, moving devices and accessories they needed!!!! (a stark comparison to crews I’ve had show up without having a truck, the wrong transport assemblies, dollies missing wheels, wrong tools, etc..)
Were properly attired.
Were properly interactive & courteous with the customer.
Had the proper tools & started work right away (~4:30pm)
Showed up on time the next morning.
Finished the job, including rigging he system out by ~1pm the next day!! (I’ve had this take close to 24 hours with other crews)
In fact they were so fast and clean that the customer allowed them rig the system out over the lunch hour (it was supposed to be after 5pm) – they were done in a little over half the time allotted!!!!
I normally meet the removal crew at the start to show them the room, meet & greet the customer, verify the removal path and other requirements. I then ask for a call prior to rig-out so I can assure there is no damage. On other occasions I’ve had to wait for a couple on site awaiting crew’s arrival or keep re-arranging my schedule because their rig-out time keeps slipping, not this time and it was SO NICE!!!
From my point of view if there is only a small trade-in price difference between Nationwide Imaging and other trade-in brokers bids, I would select Nationwide due to this seamless experience!
